Long time no write here. I found something I seems very useful and for now I have been fortunate to not need. This is the encryption of traffic from a torrent client. Qe Why would not it? Then there are times in which we ISP restrict bandwidth for peer-to-peer such as torrent. What can we do as consumers who pay a monthly for a service is to encrypt the traffic. It's easy and I'm writing down instructions for 3 of the best torrent clients. UTorrent
: Let
- Options> Preferences> Bittorrent.
- Now "Protocol encryption", where you can choose or Active Force, with the latter get more connections but does not protect completely against the ISP. It is recommended to test first "Active" and if you do not notice that increases the speed CANBIO to "Force."
- To the right is a field to allow incoming legacy connections, enable you vulnerable to the ISP's, if you see no improvement in active speed, disable it.
- Tools> Options> Connection> Transport Encryption
- Click "Require encrypted transport".
- Choose RC4 in the list of "minimum level of encryption." You
- try to select the option "Allow non-encrypted outgoing connections if they fail to try the encrypted", which although may not be safe with customers who do not encrypt their data, your ISP may detect this as P2P traffic and serve no nothing we've done so far.
- also selects the last option on the list: "Allow non-encrypted incoming connections.
- see to Options> Preferences> Advanced> Connection. Ahi
- in the list select "Protocol encryption" and choose "Always" and that "Auto Detect" can cause problems.
